My name is Yelena...and I absolutely love makeup and bringing out the beauty in every woman! I was brought up with a rich appreciation for all the arts in my home country Belarus. It is that upbringing that left a lasting impression on my life as well as my vision for makeup I do today. I love to combine classic beauty with a twist and an edge, and I love playing with all sorts of colours.

While completing a degree in Criminology, I discovered makeup artistry by chance and was forever changed. Working as Lancome's in-house Makeup Artist in Ottawa, and moving on to work with many other brands,I fell in love with colours, different looks and styles, different products and the advantage of each, and how makeup can not only alter one's look, but most importantly bring out their best features and their inner beauty!

I love beauty, and it comes in all forms, shapes and sizes! I get inspired by all kinds of beauty everyday! It's in the sunset, in the music I hear, in nature, in a beautiful friendship, in that person I love! (Yes, I am a romantic, but isn't love all we need? :))

In my free time, I love indulging in travel, music festivals (I'm a big music nerd), road trips and outdoor adventures, architecture, electronic music, theatre and fashion. My guilty pleasure would probably have to be the Twilight series and Dexter, and I'm ok with that.

I'd like to think it is those that I admire and who influenced my life that make me a better person, and ultimately - a better artist. So I thank my beautiful mother, Michael Jackson, Alexander McQueen, and all those fighting for peace, equal rights and animal rights all around the globe, who inspire me to be and do better!
