Born in Belarus and having been brought up with a rich appreciation for the arts, Yelena's flair for tempering classic beauty with bold twist can be traced to her life's journey through Russia, the middle-east, and on to the west. The landscapes and cultures she's passed through make an impression on her vision.

While completing a degree in Criminology, makeup artistry found Yelena by chance and she was forever changed. What started as a means to an end, became a calling with no end. Ever the creator, Yelena is driven by the prospect of beauty – that the image trumps reality.

Inspired by travel, architecture, electronic music, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen shows, paintings, the outdoors, fashion, and theatre, she's always in the creation process. On set, she's the girl to talk to…the one who is happiest in the heart of the action.

In her own words "The air that I breath every day - the biggest inspiration in itself – is a reminder that I'm alive and therefore will always want to continue creating!"

Yelena currently resides in Ottawa (Canada) and frequently travels in and out of the city
